Sol Grains began its mission in 2008 to make germinated brown rice readily available in the U.S. We came across this great type of rice by following food trends in Japan, Korea and other parts of Asia. The Asians understand that eating germinated brown rice promotes better health. We want to offer what they have benefited from.
Instead of importing germinated brown rice directly from Asia we decided to produce our own in the U. S. This allows us to oversee the quality of the product and offer it at a more affordable price.
Before we started to sell the rice we wanted to make sure we had a product with the highest quality. It took us three painstaking years and many test runs to figure out the perfect method. We use high-quality California brown rice and implement eco-friendly processes to produce our rice. The final product is what we believe to be the best and most delicious germinated brown rice.
At Sol Grains we're committed to producing products that are healthy and delicious without sacrificing quality. Even if it takes us years to do so.
What does the name mean?
Our manufacturing process entails using the sun as a direct source of energy to dry our rice. Hence the name Sol Grains. We believe that businesses need to take the initiative of doing what they can to minimize their strain on our only planet. We're definitely doing our part.
