Uncooked
Sol Grains’ SBR has a shelf life of 7 to 8 months when package is sealed tightly and direct sunlight is avoided. Refrigerator and freezer storage is recommended for a longer shelf life of approximately 12 months.
Cooked
Cooked rice should be refrigerated or frozen soon after rice is cooked. We recommend cooling the rice for about an hour and then placing it in a container with a tight seal. Cooked rice can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Reheating
When reheating the rice you should add two tablespoons of liquid for every cup of rice. Microwave every cup of refrigerated rice on high for 1 minute and 2 minutes on high for frozen rice. You can reheat the rice on the stove by using a low medium heat for about 5 minutes or until rice is thoroughly heated.
